1977年東京生まれ。2001年藤井保に師事、2006年独立。2007年に雑誌で見た小笠原・父島の約100年前の先住民の写真に衝撃を受け、翌年より『The Bonin Islanders』の制作に取り組む。2021年に13年の年月を経て写真集『The Bonin Islanders』（赤々舎）を出版。2022年に続編となる『Mary Had a Little Lamb』（赤々舎）を出版し「第49回 木村伊兵衛写真賞」を受賞。

Born in Tokyo in 1977. He studied under Tamotsu Fujii in 2001 and began working independently in 2006. In 2007, he was deeply moved by photographs of the indigenous people of Chichijima in the Ogasawara Islands—taken about 100 years earlier—that he saw in a magazine, and began working on *The Bonin Islanders* the following year. In 2021, after 13 years of work, he published the photo book *The Bonin Islanders* (AKAAKA Art Publishing Inc,). In 2022, he published its sequel, *Mary Had a Little Lamb* (AKAAKA Art Publishing Inc,)and received the “49th Kimura Ihei Photography Award.”
