1981年、兵庫県生まれ。ルポルタージュ、ポートレートを中心に雑誌、書籍、広告で幅広く活動。同時に「人と自然の接点」をテーマに主に一次産業の現場を取材。日本全国の農風景を撮影した「耕す人」(2016)、川と人のつながりを考える「暦川」(2019)、半島を旅し日本の風土と暮らしを撮った「光の地形」(2020)、瀬戸内の島に起こる過疎化をテーマにした「NEMURUSHIMA」(2022)、父との関係性を通して一年間をかけて撮影したスナップ写真集「煙と水蒸気」(2024)がある。2012年「ゴマの洋品店」で日本写真協会賞新人賞受賞。2024年日本写真協会賞作家賞受賞。

Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1981. Works extensively in magazines, books, and advertising, focusing on reportage and portraiture. Simultaneously, he documents primary industries with the theme “the intersection of people and nature.” His works include: “Tagayasuhito” (2016), capturing agricultural landscapes across Japan; “KOYOMI GAWA” (2019), exploring the connection between rivers and people; “Hikari no Chikei” (2020), documenting Japan’s landscapes and lifestyles through travels on peninsulas; ‘NEMURUSHIMA’ (2022), addressing depopulation on Seto Inland Sea islands; and “Kemuri to Suijyoki – Smoke and Steam” (2024), a year-long project of snapshots reflecting his relationship with his father. Received the Photographic Society of Japan : New Face Award 2012 for “Goma no Yohinten” Awarded the Photographic Society of Japan:The Lifetime Achievement Award 2024.
